We buy copper concentrate
G-MTW buys copper concentrate at source for mining holdings and smelters. We work with producers and trading companies across Latin America, Africa and Asia, and follow the deal from proposal through to arrival at the destination port.
What we buy
- Material: copper concentrate
- Grade: 20-30% Cu
- Minimum volume: from 100 MT
- Tell us your monthly capacity as well — we handle both one-off lots and recurring supply
Mandatory specification
The material has to meet the maximums our buyers accept. They are the same across every mineral:
| Element | Maximum accepted |
|---|---|
| Arsenic (As) | < 0.5% |
| Mercury (Hg) | < 0.005% |
| Cadmium (Cd) | < 0.005% |
| Sulphur (S) | < 9% |
| Fluorine (F) | < 0.10% |
| Moisture | < 5% |
| Particle size | 20-40 mm |
Dry basis, backed by laboratory analysis. In copper, the elements that break most deals are arsenic and mercury: they are penalised on payment or make the smelter reject the cargo. Full detail on our specification page.
Commercial terms
- Incoterms: FOB or CIF
- Payment: letter of credit
- Inspection: independent, by SGS, Alfred H. Knight or Bureau Veritas
- Compliance: we apply the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for minerals from conflict-affected areas, without exception
Where we source from
Our origin regions for copper are Peru, Chile and Mexico in Latin America, and the DRC and Zambia in the African Copperbelt. If you operate in another producing country, write to us anyway.
How to sell us your copper
- Send your proposal with grade, moisture, impurities, quantity, Incoterm and port of loading.
- We assess feasibility. If the material complies, we reply with our counter-proposal: price with its discount table and terms.
- Sale and purchase contract once both sides agree.
- Follow-up to destination, with documentary control across the chain.
No proposal, no site visit and no negotiation — it is always the first step.
